Gemmill 44113
You've got to look at the fixtures we have left and think 38 points is within our grasp. Awesome.
Tooj 17
Same Glenn Roeder at the talk in who said that we had a fixture list to die for before Christmas.

Gemmill 44113
I think this might be a wind-up btw. Just checked the actual interview and there's no such line in it. smoggeordie has added it when he's copy and pasted the interview on NO.

Gemmill 44113
Anywhere, here's the full interview, minus the made up line: MAGPIES boss Glenn Roeder has set himself a points target between now and the end of the season - and wants to see the Magpies boost their tally with a win at Manchester City on Saturday. Roeder has been understandably disappointed at the points return in the league so far this season, with two wins and two draws from the opening 11 games leaving the Magpies in the lower reaches of the Premiership. But the manager knows a run of games will boost his side's position, and is hoping to kickstart the league form with a win at the City of Manchester Stadium. Roeder told Newcastle World TV: "The position in the league can change very quickly, they key is to get the three points. "That two point difference between a win and a draw can make a big difference over the course of a season. "I know the amount of games that we should win, and that we expect to win, between now and the end of the season. "That is my private long-term goal. I know exactly what we need to be doing and hopefully that will start on Saturday." Given that we've probably already lost 5 or 6 games that he would have expected to win at the start of the season, I would say his points target is about as valid as yours or mine. Gemmill 44113
Yeah, I thought so too. It's the way he tells them. Although in fairness I did think it was genuine so it worked. Bit of an indictment of Roeder (or at least what I think of him) that it was so easy to believe though.
snakehips 0
I really wish this had come off tyne-talk or somewhere as it is just a load of complete crap. To know that it has actually come from our manager's mouth is just cringeworthy tbh. Shut up, Rodders, and let Terry Mac, er no, Geordie boy Lee Clark, er no, Freddie Shepherd, er no, Christ! is there anyone at that club we can rely on to give a decent interview without embarrassing us????? Gemmill 44113
"That two point difference between a win and a draw can make a big difference over the course of a season." That line is a classic btw. And that sort of insight is BEFORE he's got his UEFA Pro License. Imagine what he'll be like when he's fully qualified. Gemmill 44113
I actually credited you with not being a big enough cock to add made up quotes to an interview. I was wrong. And yes, I am mocking you for giving us your dad's diagnosis of Shola's injury because your dad knows as much as we do - i.e. that Shola has what has been described as a "hip problem". No one knows any more than that, but you seem to think that because your dad's a neurosurgeon, his opinion somehow carries more weight.

Can you ask him whether its possible to put back the bit of brain related to sense they obviously removed from Roeder when he underwent his op.
