Relegation plus 1, 2 or 3 cups...

Recommended Posts

Hypothetically, would you take relegation for a cup(s)?

Of course, if we were to be relegated we would lose players, which would have a long term effect, and there would be no guarantee that we'd get automatic promotion the season after. But, considering the lack of shiny shiz since before the majority of us were alive, would you take a cup? If not, would you take more than one?

And I'm not talking tea cups, egg cups, 36 double D cups etc either...

But didn't the fat man always claim that he would step down once Newcastle won a cup?

Double whammy, the fat fuck would have to fuck off and the share price would fall through the floor.

Personally I'd rather still be in the premier league and he just fucks off now anyway.

It's a laughable scenario as we'd never win it but I can say I'd definitely take the CL and relegation.

Incidentally I see Glenn has been going on about not understanding how we're doing well in cups (UEFA/League Cup) while doing so badly in the Prem. The explanation for this incongruous form is beyond him apparently. Well Glenn, the answer is very simply that teams take the Premiership more seriously and fucking try harder!!!

Fortunately for Roeder he wont have to ponder this conundrum for too much longer as the further we progress through the cups the more seriously teams will start to compete and our league and cup form will be harmonised once again.
