JJ 0
Strauss and Harmison have been extremely unlucky with decisions today, but I hope England don't use that as an excuse if they lose this test match.

JJ although the lbw-o-meter did look like it was going high, that side camera angle, 45 deg left of bowler, did look plum. There's not a lot of bounce in that wicket. Â He was so far forward though and it was still on the rise. I think it was a shocker myself. That being said 1) He shouldn't have been leaving it and 2) it's no excuse anyway for a horrendous day with the bat.
JJ 0
Well it's just me and you Sammy. All 3 results still possible although we both know which one is more likely right now. I just hope when this last wicket is taken Australia can collapse like the old days and the bowlers are disciplined.

JJ 0
I was watching City vs Watford online but it was tragic so turned it off. Did it finish 0-0?
sammynb 3342
Yes and never looked like being anything else. It was so bad it inspired me to go to work early. See the umpires are making up for the last lbw decision.
JJ 0
That Anderson one was extremely close according to hawkeye. And hawkeye isn't accurate. I was worried there.
JJ 0
A graphic just flashed up showing small totals Australia failed to reach in the 4th innings. The thing was that most were decades ago. Some from the 1880's too! Only recent ones was 97 in England and that 93 on that absolute minefield in Mumbai which was excuseable on a horrible pitch. Did Michael Clarke not bowl figures of 6-9 in that match? Â I know the point of flashing it up but I wouldn't be too worried about being bowled out if I was Australia. sammynb 3342
Are you guys getting the "hot spot" camera as well? It's an infra-red camera that looks at the bad and if friction has been created by the ball hitting it!
sammynb 3342
They have to get to bat to not worry about being bowled oot.
JJ 0
Nah we don't get that. Take it that's for snicks? We get snick-o-meter which is like a soundwave where you get super slow-mo and if there's a noise it judges the exact time it hits the bat or when the noise was made. That infrared thing sounds cool as fuck. Is it a channel 9 thing?

They still have the snick-o-meter (who names these fucking things?) but now they have the infra-red camera and it's like watching all that Iraq war footage, green luminescence and white heat areas

My calculator says 4.67 an over.

JJ 0
I think the Aussies will fancy this. Unless they lose early wickets I reckon it's well within their reach.
wellsy 0
Well this is interesting. Â Agreed the Harmison decision did look like it was going too high but you just dont pad up like that... Â Warne has been great today and has really put in a great performance. Â Now it is like a one dayer, bring it on. 168 isnt too hard to get its just the overs will crept up with us. I mean if any team can do it, it will be Australia. Â What a fantastic days play and too think i was thinking this was just going to be a boring last days play! wellsy 0
The hot spot camera is magnificant just quitely! Cant believe you lot over in the UK arent getting it.... Â Im getting ahead of myself here but if and thats a big if! But if Australia win imagine what the English media will be like back home. I dare say the English players wouldnt want to even read their paper and probably not ours but ours isnt as bad as theirs.

sammynb 3342
I think the Aussies will fancy this. Unless they lose early wickets I reckon it's well within their reach. Possibly but Ponting for someone who use to go the biff at the Bourbon and Beefsteak (crap bar/grill/club in the Cross) is very conservative, so you just don't know. I was just talking to a colleague about it and the joke was if they are serious Gilchrist should of walked to the fence and grabbed his bat and Langer should of padded up next to him and they get straight out there, could you imagine the psychology of that on the English team? Now just watch them take their time. Â Personally out of all the events today, I'm more worried about the news report of the Liverpool take over growing legs and the N.O.G falling even further behind the place we now find ourselves. If only the fat fuck had half the decency that Moore is showing in saying the only way forward is with a bigger investor.

JJ 0
Hoggard gets Langer caught Bell. Gives England a better chance of getting a draw, but they have to dismiss Ponting.
