Kid Dynamite 6972
Anyone know of any decent displays in Durham or Newcastle tonight? Everywhere seems to have had them a day early for some strange reason!

Brock Manson 0
The firework competition on the Hoe in Plymouth on the other hand. Breathtaking. Last year they had some that when they exploded, formed the shape of red hearts in a blue circle, and also stars inside a circle. Now how they hell did they do that? It's a fun night actually. There's about 4 displays, and the winner is judged on the crowd reaction. And since there's alot of mine and toonraider's (sorry ) types, this reaction is loud indeed. Someone was going on about that at work. Already been and gone for this year, would've gone and seen it otherwise. The winner goes to do london at new year apparently... As I also cannot stand fireworks, I have elected to do my socialising and pleasant time-ness down at the pub with a vodka for warmth.

There was low cloud cover and no cross wind so the smoke from the fireworks just hung there. 5 min into the show and all you could see was pretty coloured smoke. Gemmill 44174
Not a fan of bonfire night, I have to say. Drives people's pets round the twist and a lot of it is just an excuse for charver wankers to get up to no good. It wouldn't be so bad if it was just the one night, but they've been on sale for fucking ages and they'll be letting them off for a good week yet. Bah humbug to it all! Pretty impressive, 20 minutes of mindless explosions and pretty colours. The bonfire was a bit shit though, there was about a 20 metre exclusion zone to prevent folk getting anywhere near it.
