For 7-8mil id sell. As I have stated, he is wrongfully played as a defensive midfielder when Parker's there, which prevents him from using his ability. When Parker's away Roeder correctly plays him in an attacking role, and he normally plays very well. Thursday's was a good performance, considering he was coming back from injury. Maybe it's just me, but I'm not convinced that's the same as " CN signed a new contract extension at SJP and has committed his future for the next three years " or words to that effect. Getting rid of Babayaro, Luque, Butt, Dyer et al would dramatically reduce our wage Bill without massively affecting the quality of our 1st 11. lose Zoggy and/or Emre and the team that trot onto the pitch would be lacking in invention and penetration.. and I would wager neither were the biggest earners in the team. I think you desperately try to read between the lines. They also use the term "awarded" in context with Shay Given and Steve Harper who both "signed" the contract. So it's just a synonym and not something like "offered". Though, I agree that it is strange that there has been no other official statement from the club. Though, this is the same club that never said anything about Tommy Craig leaving the club for a couple of weeks. .com still reckon the new contract is running until 2009.
