Holden McGroin 6785
We have only conceded 1 goal (and a last minute jobby at that) in 3 games. Thoughts? Edited November 2, 2006 by Holden McGroin

Isegrim 9906
I think it is far too early to suggest it is the impact of Pearson. Today it was also very much down to a fantastic performance of the rookie keeper, before we played Charlton who aren't a free-scoring team. Fenerbahce and Smoggies was good, but you can expect those things from time to time.

I only wanted to test you... It still means nothing to me if I don't see that we cut out those stupid defending mistakes long term. The likes of Bramble & Co. have all had good and lucky spells before.
Guest Patrokles
Think a degree of credit has to go to Pearson. both Roeder and he have stated that what they did after his arrival was really work on the defence, which does look a bit better. Pearson seemed like a leader/organiser/no nonsense type to me (from his playing days) so might help the defence. sweetleftpeg 0
As a unit we look more organised. However, had not been for UNBELEEEEEVABLE goalkeeping, we might have conceeded a few. Edited November 2, 2006 by sweetleftpeg
sammynb 3508
There was a corner we were defending and the camera was close up on Bramble and you could see he was actually organising someone, Luque I think, to mark an opposition player. Almost fell off my chair in shock!

sammynb 3508
He was shouting at Nobby. Regardless (stream was average), he was actually organising his team-mates to defend instead of thinking about how he can get his fat arse out on the town for the evening.
