I see one of the chefs won a silver medal in a cooking competition. Stick it in the trophy cabinet Fred.

Which other Premiership chairman has presided over such culinary success. No coincidence that we've got a good chef and a fat-as-fuck chairman tbh.

Not like us to be runners-up in something.

good news. i was worried he might sling his hook - roeder hasn't been using him much when he should really be starting on this season's form.

He's been out of form this season though.

he's hardly been in the side. whenever he comes on, he raises the tempo and looks lively

He's been more use than Emre.

i reckon there's a shout for playing le zog inside. he did well there under souness and it is his prefered position.

I don't ever remember him looking comfortable there. He was fantastic on the left wing, he should be playing regularly, though I suppose Duff was the final piece of the jigsaw, so the competition is a good thing...

Gotta be better than Emre, plus he wont need to cross as much as he did on the wing which has been his weak point this season...

plus he's comfortable running at defenders and beating them with pace and tricks.

we haven't really got another central midfielder like that. neither emre or parker get forward enough in my view.

He's a better option than Emre in the middle this season and Dyer would be as well. One of our problems this season is we have no playmaker with Emre usually losing possession, taking terrible set pieces and then losing his temper in the 2nd half of matches and creating nothing.

If Zog or Dyer plays in the middle then you have smebody with energy, movement, direct running and attacking who (as shown against Portsmouth) will offer us more going forward and then Nobby has more options to pick out with passes. Its not ideal for the nearest thing we have to a playmaker to be outwide but Nobby is the nearest we have and so we need somethign else in the middle like Zog or Dyer with Parker/Butt.

The Portsmouth game is the first time this season we really played soem good football (especially taking into account the weather) and part of that was the likes of Zog, Milner, Dyer and Rossie giving us that energy, movement and attackign play we've lacked.

And speaking of Rossi, its embarassing that Roeder has pissed about this long to play the lad. He looked sharp, had a good touch and intelligent use of the ball, movement and times his runs perfectly so we actually had a striker where he needed to be! He looks like a good finisher, has pace and worked hard for 90 mins as well. So well done Glenn for keeping him out the team!!!
