THE Board of the FA Premier League recently met to consider the request we made to move the Chelsea v Newcastle United fixture scheduled for Saturday 2 December 2006 due to our UEFA Cup commitments on the preceding Thursday.

Having taken into account the submissions made by both Clubs it was the Board's decision that the above game be re-dated for the next free available date of Wednesday 13 December 2006. Kick off is 19:45hrs.

We are also able to confirm that our UEFA Cup group stage match day 4 fixture versus Eintracht Frankfurt (away) will take place on the date set and fixed by UEFA, that being Thursday 30 November 2006. Kick off is 20:45hrs (local time).

Mmmm another game in an already busy December period. Should've left it where it was seeing as we've zero chance of getting anything from the game anyway.

Problem is, Chelsea whinged that they didn't want it changed to the Sunday due to CL commitments, so we bowed down to the big boys.

Aye so we should've left it on the Saturday, I know we're playing on the Thursday but like I said we aren't likely to get anything anyway, now we have 8 games in 25 days, we really didn't need another game in mid December.
