As soon as I could legally buy them, I thought they should be banned. Still do tbh.
Gemmill 44109
Aye, I reckon they should be banned as well. Seen one decent firework display, you've seen them all tbh. Only retards get excited by them on a recurring basis. Retards and charvers intent on acting the twat.
manc-mag 1
Shouldnt be sold to the general public as they are currently. You need a licence for firearms in this country and you certainly cant walk down the street with them willy nilly.
Renton 21052
Some of these imported ones are mad. Are air bombs still legal? Put a few of them together and you have a lethal weapon.
curry stained pilchard 0
Simple really. They're explosives. Ban them...
Guest alex
Only just allowed them in Northern Ireland for some reason. Also, they celebrate Hallowe'en but don't go in for Bonfire Night. Again, I can't think why Agree about them only being allowed for organised displays though I loved them when I was a bairn.
JawD 99
As an irresponsible kid we used to fire them at each other in a pistols at dawn way (walk 20 paces, light turn and aim), with the small rockets. Or we would have fun lighting it and just before it went off throwing it in the air and hope it didnt come right back at ya. Or, snap the tail off and chuck it. Suprised Im still alive tbh
Tom 14011
To be honest they may aswell ban them, in a country where you cant call a board that is black a ''blackboard'' or whatever Charvs just tie them to fucking cats and stuff anyway, i live in the city and all i here is police sirens all night, grrr
Guest Patrokles
I like it for Guy Fawkes' Night, I think it's a nice day/evening. Throughout the year, though? bit much. My friend's family when I was 10 was so cheap that on bonfire night they just used to shine a torch on the leaveless limbs of the trees in the back garden, then wiggle the torch really fast, rather than have pyrotechnics. Guest Patrokles
i live in the city and all i here is police sirens all night, Where do you live like, Travis Bickle? Have to admit when I lived in Bloomsbury, there was constant late-night siren noise. Maybe that was because it was near Euston Fire station, or King's Cross was just the other way. I think ambulances more than police though.

Lazarus 0
When i was young we once got hold of some special bangers and decided to let them off in one of the subways under the coast road in wallsend. i have never in all my life heard anything so loud. i also remember chucking some huge fuckoff rocket into a bus shelter as i walked past. nobody in it but this rocket flew oot and exploded underneath this car driving past. ive got a nice little scar on my hand too from fireworks. ewerk 30167
Only just allowed them in Northern Ireland for some reason. Well ten years ago actually. Though a couple of years ago we they decided a license was required to buy fireworks, it stopped some of the wankers buying them but a lot of the kids just got them on the black market like we used to do when they were completely banned which obviously raises a question about their safety if they're not legal. Congratulations on taking a tongue-in-cheek comment out of context. 10 years is fairly recent though and I don't think it was the kind of safety issue you are allduing too that saw them banned in Norn Iron for so long

Guest alex
You can buy a CD/Tape that is all loud firework-type explosions that you are meant to play to your dog/cat. It's supposed to acclimimatise them to the noises after a period of time. Wouldn't know how effective it is or where you would get such a thing though.
