Paul 0
Roeder was on Century FM news earlier saying he was interested in him. What a coincidence all this comes about just days after the fans call for Shepherd's head
Brock Manson 0
We have so many left-sided players, why not balance it up a bit? He could play right back.
Craig 6700
He'll go for more than £5m - FACT France, Italy, US or, more likely IMO, Japan!
MattM4 0
We should negociate ... £3m + Milner and send the lad over to Spain for talks.

The US market is the one place adidas hasn't quite cracked, football wise - look no further.
MattM4 0
The whole MLS is supllied by Adidas as of this season, every single teams wears the three stripes. Having said that, i don't think Beckham will be going to Asia.
Guest alex
The deal would pay for itself tbh. Doubt it'll happen but I would love to see him here.

I'd rather spend the £5m or whatever on defenders. Trust Shepherd to at least try to get Beckham though - trophysigningtastic. Optimistic Nut 217
I can see Villa being linked. Would be just the sort of signing Randy Lerner would be looking at to prove he means business there.

He wouldnt dare take on the fifth best club in England though, if it came to a straight two horse contract race.

JawD 99
Same aye, love to see him, not sure why he would come at the minute, but would be far too much of a luxury when we need so much more first.

Sort of agree, but we also need someone who can hit a decent set-piece as we don't seem to have anyone at the moment.

I don't know why everyone goes on about us needing defenders though (which we do) when the stats show we need goal scorers even more. Assuming cash is limited (which I am sure it is), buying Beckham would be madness. How is he going to pay for himself btw? You'd need to sell 40,000 extra replica shirts every month of his contract just to cover his salary - it's not going to happen.

(10,000 shirts a week @ £40 each = £400,000).
