Hatful Of Hollow 0
I'm off to a Spanish tapas bar for my sister's birthday this week, and I don't really know what to expect, having never been to one before. So, are they any good? I'm going to El Coto, next to SJP.
Guest alex
They're canny. Nowt like the real thing but pretty decent. I think El Coto does Cruz Campo too.
Guest Patrokles
Yeah, they're pretty fun. Sangria and a ton of meat. can't complain.
Brock Manson 0
They're good, but it's very easy to eat too much. Careful like.
sweetleftpeg 0
El Coto is canny like. If you're going in a big group, get everyone to order a couple of things then it's every man for himself.

I've been to La Tasca, El Coto and the other one whose name escapes me on the street that goes from the Quayside up to the Keep / High Level Bridge and I think they all have identical menus or, if not, very similar. Optimistic Nut 311
Ahhh, Cruzcampo. Could see the brewery where that was made from my flat in Jaen. Loved tapas there. You got them free with a drink where I was staying. Burger and a pint for €1.50...bargain.
manc-mag 1
I quite like Tapas as you get the chance to poke about at a few dishes and it's a good accompaniment to beer. I have to say though I dont think its haute cuisine and I wouldnt do it if the emphasis was just on going out for a meal as a lot of it I reckon is pre packaged stuff. At least in LaTasca and the like. Some quality fresh regional stuff in the Spanish cities though.

If I was doing it purely for the meal itself though I'd search out an independent one rather than a chain one.
