I say you've got to pop the tea bag in the mug, add milk, then fill up the kettle with fresh cold water, boil it, then add the boiling water to the mug an stir, finally lift out tea bag Do not squeeze the bag.

serve with Chocolate Caramel square or digestive

Why on earth would you add milk prior to investigating teabag strength by adding the water?

It tastes different if you add it first. I prefer the taste when you add the milk first. OK? <_<

Psh!

Some people insist on putting salt on their food before tasting it too. I can't comprehend this level of presumptiousness.

<_< You dickhead!

Although I agree about the milk before the water thing. It cools the tea leaves down too much, preventing you getting sufficient flavour from them later.

I agree about the salt thing, but milk in first because then you can sort out the strength of the tea simply by changing the length of time you leave the bag in the mug.

I only make tea in a pot when there's 4 people or more wanting a brew (I've got one of those 7 mug pots), it's too much hasle otherwise.

as it seems the key to a perfect cuppa is when the milk is added I'll pop a wee poll here...

Not if you make the tea in the pot. If I make it in a cup though, I put the water in first, just to clarify this important matter <_<

Eh? If you make it in a cup you put the water in first? So when are you on about putting the milk in first? Do you put milk in the teapot? That's not right surely! :)

No, if I don't use a tea pot, I put the water in the mug before the milk. If I make it in a pot I put the milk into the cup first. Got it now? :)

Aye, you're making sense now. I could see you putting milk in the teapot though, like the Albert fucking Steptoe that you are. :woosh:

You also have to have your cuppa in a man sized mug.

None of this bone china bollocks.

And you stir it with your finger, straight after having a piss and not washing your hands.

thats not best use of time and resources is it? pop the water in the kettle and put it on then, put the tea bag (sometimes two) and (a very small dash of) milk along with copious amounts of sugar.

You must squeeze the teabag though get every last drop of that PG goodness out.
