Weeks after, actually. I didn't queue to meet him or owt like that.

Gemmill 46292
I preferred Ginola to Robert personally. I think I was younger when Ginola was around though, and had more of a romantic outlook on football than I had by the time Robert started getting on my tits with his non-performances. I don't remember Ginola's non-performances being as bad, but I might be guilty of rose-tinted spectacles stuff.

Optimistic Nut 206
Keith Gillespie was better in the 95/96 season. And Robbie Elliott was better in the 96/97 season.
Shearergol 0
Robert was MUCH better than Ginola. Their stats back that up.
Optimistic Nut 206
Put Robert in the Keegan side and we'd have won the title.
JJ 0
Robert was MUCH better than Ginola. Their stats back that up. Agreed. When Ginola was good he was very good, but when Robert was good he was phenonenal. Just a pity Robert had a tendancy to lose interest at times. Optimistic Nut 206
When Ginola went missing, he'd produce nothing, even when Robert went missing (which was 90% of the time), he'd still come up with something.

Hence why when Ginola left he went to sa good team and still produced. Also Roberts habit of sending the ball into row z constantly was not a ginola trait. Gemmill 46292
I notice the two main Robert fans in the thread were both only 11 when Ginola signed for us, but were of a much more reasonable age when Robert did. Not that I'm suggesting that that means anything about their opinion of Ginola.
Holden McGroin 6808
Ginola was dynamite on his day but should have contributed a lot more towards goals and assists.
