me I hate conifers. Had to dig 30 of the bastards out :(

hello happy face

:)

I can't remember which is which tbh.

Pine type = Conifer

Oak, Chestnut etc = deciduous.

Ah yes, I always preferred a good honest British deciduous tree. Seems to me, them conifers are snide things.

Deciduous or ever-green is the more valid question, or broad-leaved or coniferous.

I'd have to go for deciduous though, as I have a bastard Leylandii in my garden which will soon need removing, at great expense. :)

Did you know that most, but not all, broad-laved trees are deciduous (ever-green oak being an example of an exception).

Similarly most, but not all, conifers are ever-green (e.g. Larches are an exception because they shed their pines).

There's today's FACT.

coniferous.

Meat eating trees? Are there omnivorous trees too?

:)

You also seem to have difficulty remembering the difference between Coniferous and Carniverous.

:(

I should be invited into dictionary corner with the quality of my punnery. That lass with the camera pen would get it.

See I thought it was a whoosher but it was the blinking gif that got me.

I got lost in a forest in the Cheviots this year. It was fucking horrible, I swear I was nearly eaten alive by flys!

You have to cover up they smell your body. I laugh at these american films where the hero walks through the jungle in a sleeveless top. one of the first rules of jungle warfare is cover up. Also ignoring basic concepts of camouflage Shape Shine silhouette and Shadow.

To be fair, they left a canny bit of you. It would have been no bother for the air rescue to find you though - they would have just followed the path that looked like an enormous boulder had been rolled through the forest. :)
