Renton 21052
Just come back from this (shown at South Shields Custom house) and have to say it was hilarious. One bloke, playing all the Star Wars characters himself, covering the original trilogy, in an hour, is pretty impressive. I was in the front row and got sprayed with spit but will let him off. Anyway, it's a must for any Star Wars and Comedy fans; trouble is if you haven't seen it then unless you go to London or Chester in the next few days then you've probably missed your chance. Fear not though, he's promised to come back next year with the one man Lord of the Rings show!

Renton 21052
Please don't tell me he wear's the gold-bikini........ Please tell me he does! Well, sorry to tell you you have to use your imagination as there are no props. It's basically a comedy so he exaggerates the characters quite a lot - his Luke Skywalker, Jabba, and At At walker were particularly good. Oddly, I thought he did a shit Yoda. Does anyone on this board go to the thetre often btw? There's threads for films, music, books, games etc but none for live acting performances, my favourite non-footy entertainment. Happy Face 29
The theatre would be too fruity for Graham Norton.
sweetleftpeg 0
Sounds quality, shame I missed it. I do go to the theatre every so often, seen some quality stuff in the Live Theatre down the quayside. Also tend to go and see at least one production when the RSC come up here. I try and see most things at the Live theatre - easily my favourite venue (nice the way you can have a pint during performances too). Hope it's still as good after its refurbishment. The Playhouse has also just reopened after a massive face lift and I will be a regular there from now on. And of course you can't bet the Hyena Cafe if you need cheering up. sweetleftpeg 0
Aye, always had a good night when I've gone to either the Live or the Hyena. Sitting having a pint at both of them is champion.

Guest Patrokles
A lot of early theatre was invented for the lower classes, to be fair. Funny how it has metamorphosised.
