JJ 0
So firstly, you form an opinion on how Scott Parker played for Chelsea, then you point out that you didn't actually watch much of Chelsea. Interesting. The Parker example was yours by the way, so yes, it's a poor example, gald you've seen it now. He was quality up until the game in which he broke his foot. You say that Sutton was struggling for match fitness, yet still claim he would have been a good signing? Amazing, simply amazing. Got to say I love your patronising tone. Amazing, simply amazing. Also love the way you've twisted almost everything I've said. I'm saying from what I saw of Parker. Never said it wasn't my example. I'm not sure if Sutton is match fit right now. And if you'd like to read back to my very first post in this thread you'd see, in capital letters these 2 words. IF FIT Again...... IF FIT And once more, just incase..... IF FIT Glad we've sorted that one out. I'm not sure your last sentence actually makes sense by the way. You're comparing a player who hasn't performed for his last 2 Premiership clubs, to players like Roy Keane, and Hugo Viana. You honestly can't see how they are completely different? I don't know where to start with this nonsense. Are you even reading what I'm saying? Or just choosing parts and joining it together. I'll say it again, I was responding to Ollie's quote, not yours when I was making those comparisons. I was talking about something completely different. Boumsong not only didn't play shit for 2 Premiership clubs, he didn't even PLAY for 2 Premiership clubs. Are you willing to come down hard on him? Course not, because he's not posted nearly enough there for you to twist to make very little sense. I was quoting Roy Keane and Hugo Viana to Jean Alain Boumsong. That's why you'll notice the quote above it. I prefer to use it to show what I'm responding to. Edited October 4, 2006 by JJ
Craig 6670
Youl probably see craig saying Larsson is past it too and Barca must have been daft to take him Actually I think you'll find that I was fully behind NUFC making an approach for Larsson but don't let that destroy your empty debate... Craig 6670
Serious JJ, do a search for Chris Sutton on here and you'll find J69 saying we missed a trick not signing him and EVERYONE on here slating him for it! To be fair I'm not surprised. I'd think most people wouldn't rate Sutton. I just feel he might still have a year or so left in him. Although this board would be shite if we all thought the same thing. Did well at Birmingham didn't he. Scott Parker did well at Chelsea didn't he? Until he got injured, he was quality, yes. Chris Sutton did well at Chelsea didn't he. Don't agree he was quality at Chelsea tbh. PS ... ummmm Henry did well at Juve didn't he?! As did Bergkamp at Inter

JJ 0
Think you'll find that Viana is shite at Valencia too. Aye, but he was ace at Sporting Lisbon. Well ace enough for us to spend 8 million. Now who else did we spend 8 million on?

Let's try again, perhaps if I use bold letters, or change the size like you have, you'll understand too? You think Sutton would have been a good signing; I said he wouldn't based on his performances in the league we play in. Someone came in with a comedy remark about Boumsong, so you started talking about how even Roy Keane can look shit for one club but not another. Erm...ok I'll get to the point though, as I think too many words in one post confuses you: Sutton hasn't performed IN THIS LEAGUE for the last two clubs he's played for. We're not talking about playing in Scotland, we're talking about THIS LEAGUE. I guess you think Sutton could do a job here because of his performances for Celtic (3 goals in his last 12 games, right? Why did he leave there by the way? Why don't you concentrate on your fantastically inaccurate long winded articles you're so fond of; perhaps you could write one on how an unfit striker who has failed at his two previous premiership clubs could do a job for us

Someone came in with a comedy remark about Boumsong, so you started talking about how even Roy Keane can look shit for one club but not another. Erm...ok If every single thread stayed exactly on topic then most threads wouldn't last over a page. Occasionally there was a wee bit if a tangent. That was the tangent. I was talking about something else, but you completely missed that point. I'll get to the point though, as I think too many words in one post confuses you: Sutton hasn't performed IN THIS LEAGUE for the last two clubs he's played for. We're not talking about playing in Scotland, we're talking about THIS LEAGUE. Yes well Kanu played fairly poorly in his last couple of years at Arsenal and then again for West Brom. Then starts scoring goals for Portsmouth. Two Premiership teams he didn't do fairly well for then he's doing well at another club. I guess you think Sutton could do a job here because of his performances for Celtic (3 goals in his last 12 games, right? Why did he leave there by the way? Why did he leave? Fell out with Strachan. There was a lot of publicity and speculation up here about the fact that Strachan was trying to get rid of O'Neill's side and building his own side pretty much from scratch. Hence why he let Jackie McNamara go. Hence why he let John Hartson go. Hence why he let pretty much everyone who was left from the Seville team go, with the exeption of Balde for some strange reason. Why don't you concentrate on your fantastically inaccurate long winded articles you're so fond of; perhaps you could write one on how an unfit striker who has failed at his two previous premiership clubs could do a job for us  I've had enough of this thread. Bye bye. It's been fun chatting again.
