Kevin Carr's Gloves 3788
So I have just attended my first seminar and performed quite well. I had done some previous reading on Sociology which is more than the rest of my group. I decide to get a sandwich and sit in the courtyard and have lunch before my next lecture which was in an hour. The appointed time arrives for me to leave to go to lecture.....And I can't pissing well stand up. My back has completely gone. I have to get first aid out and they call a blooming ambulance. Talk about being embarrassed. I seriously wanted to die. On top of that they give me painkillers and muscle relaxants. Feel good enough to come to work today and halfway here on the bus my stomach muscles feel way to relaxed. Had to jump off bus and go to a hotel then get taxi in. I hate my body Edited October 3, 2006 by Kevin Carr's Gloves
Gemmill 44109
Sorry, I shouldn't laugh like, but the thought of you sat on a bench unable to move. Hope your back's alright now.
Renton 21052
Jesus wept, I thought I had problem with my shoulder. Sorry to hear that KCG, what exactly is wrong with your back?
Kevin Carr's Gloves 3788
Jesus wept, I thought I had problem with my shoulder. Sorry to hear that KCG, what exactly is wrong with your back? I had an accident a long time ago ripped ligaments in both knees broke bothe femurs with one of them being pushed up through my pelvis. Over the years I have put extra strain on my back due to legs being weak. This year I had sciatica and it is kind of hanging around.
Gemmill 44109
Was it a car accident? Just wondering as I know you were pretty vocal on the speed cameras/dangerous driving discussion.

Christ, that sounds like one hell of an accident, you sound like your lucky to be alive. Makes everyone elses mishaps seem a bit trivial on the accident thread we had a while back. Good luck, don't know what to say apart from that.
sweetleftpeg 0
I sympathise, my Mrs has a pretty bad back condition and it's amasing how quickly it can come on. It's typical though isn't it. On the bright side, at least everyone on your course will remember you next week.
manc-mag 1
Couldnt stand up?! I just imagine you on your back, shivering like an upturned beetle waiting for the paramedics to arrive. Your post got me thinking though-hope your knackered old body doesnt spoil your youthful enthusiasm for the course. I'm the opposite at the mo to be fair, the body's like a perfectly calibrated precision machine, but I couldnt muster the zeal for a load of lectures and seminars. Having said that I'd love the late start times and days off in the week.

Tooj 17
I was gonna laugh at first mate cause it is a rather funny story, but then again I do know what it's like having a dodgy back. Reminds me of when I woke up one morning only for the cunt to spasm thus it taking me 3 hours to get out of bed because I was in that much agony to phone someone up who could take me to hospital.
