Oasis @ the arena, twice. Both class.

Also, Coldplay, which I expected to be pretty crap, was mint aswell.

Oasis at Maine Road. I imagine you'll want to delete your post now tbh.

Coldplay were alreet when I saw them too.

:D

I wish I'd gone to the one at the COM Stadium last year to be honest, that would have been ace.

Nah. Maine Road tbh. At their peak!

Surely you mean "well past their peak"

1996 man woman man!!!! Whats the story just released. Home town. Their club. Lots of anti-red jibes. Cant top it.

Been to few good gigs in my time

Wildhearts at the riverside

Slayer at the city hall

Metallica at the ice rink

guns n roses at gateshead

:D

You sir, are a legend!

My best ever was Anthrax at the Glasgow Garage, 1995. The place was seriously fucking jumping. John Bush climbed a stack of amps and jumped off into the crowd and Scott Ian had a massive rant about how the band didn't get asked to contribute 'I am the law' to the soundtrack of the Judge Dredd(Stallone turkey0 that was just coming out.

What a night - Newcy Broon, powder and metal..... :D

Cant top it - I bet I can. 1994 I think, Definitely Maybe had just come out last gig in uk tour at London Astoria.

And went to the end of tour party at the Leisure Lounge afterwards, where I spent half an hour deep in conversation with Noel Gallagher, apparently.

Sadly I dont remember that happening as I overindulged somewhat

"Sound Of White Noise" was the last great old-style (by which I mean "stuff what I grew up on") metal album. Still love annoying the neighbours with it even now. :D:lol:

stone roses at spike island. no contest.

the sound quality was shite but it was a pretty unbeliveable experience for a wide eyed 14 year old and one of my first ever gigs.

more recently, arctic monkeys at brixton academy rocked it, as did lilly allen at this year's big chill. i thought she was just a skanky chaver but i was well impressed with her live show.

and of course nirvana at reading in 92 will live long in the memory.

Ah Oasis the David Beckham of popular music.

Spice Girls with guitars tbh.

Woah there boys, I am not saying it was the best concert I had been to, I was merely correcting the manc mag. Oasis first album was a classic, sadly they quickly disappeared into pub rock boringness very quickly

Wasn't having a go Spongey. And I loved Oasis first album. But after that they have turned into Status Quo.

Horse shit tbf.

Theres always a debate about which was the better of the first two albums (which will never be resolved) but the important fact was they followed the genius of Definitely Maybe up with the genius of Whats the Story....instead of disappearing up their arses. Thats the toughest trick to pull off in music and by 1996 they were the finished article. Proven. All down hill from there. PS Yours was also a London gig so that counts it out almost instantaneously.

Oh yes.

A classic album indeed.

The tour i saw them in Glasgow was the Stomp 442 tour, it also was a great album.

Memories, eh? :D

Anthrax remained a great band, but they were much better in the 80's tbh. Among The Living was an outstanding album. I didn't really like John Bush much, though he suited the music well.

Despite what you say I'm told by others that John Bush has no stage presence at all. Strange.

i lost interest after the first oasis album although the second one did have one or two decent tunes, they're just too samey.

look at what damon alburn is doing now compared to the gallaghers. he's producing some real quality diverse music while oasis are still knocking out the same old shite.

Oasis have been shite since their first two albums (although I don't think Be Here Now is quite as bad as it's made out to be), but tbqh those two albums are two of the best ever produced.

My favourite gig would have to be them at Wembley in 2000, the gig recorded for the Familiar to Millions album.

Only saw Oasis once and that was at the Riverside - got short changed really for obvious reasons

Best gig is hard to say .. Smiths at Mayfair, Redskins and Bunnymen at York Racecourse, Cult were very good at Tiffanys before they went all rocky.

Probably the best is the Bhundu Boys at Riverside. Just a very good night alround and Guinness and whisky all night.

It might be diverse but to be honest it is mostly still shite in a mockney accent. one or two decent songs in a career from alburn.

Saw him as well at Rollercoaster tour with My Bloody Valentine and Dinosaur Jr

Pretty good too.
