Scottish Mag 3
Lee Young-pyo has agreed a move to Tottenham Hotspur, according to reports in the Dutch press. Voetbal International state the South Korean left back has reached an accord with Spurs over a move from PSV Eindhoven, who are still desperate to hang on to the player. The defender is believed to hold a clause in his contract that allows him to leave for just €2 million (£1.36m), although that fee could rise to around €3 million (£2.04m) as PSV battle to cling onto the Asian star. Lee will have watched in interest as compatriot Park Ji-sung settles into English football with Manchester United. Park has been an immediate hit with Red Devils fans for his industry and technique - and Lee would be keen to replicate his success. Tottenham have started the season strongly, winning both of their opening two games - but coach Martin Jol is still keen to boost his squad. Lee's impact in the World Cup three years ago prompted his move to Holland, and skysports.com revealed that Spurs were lining up a bid last week.
