JJ 0
Thought I would bring this thread back to the forefront. I liked this one from ages ago. Aberdeen having a strange start to the season. Only one league defeat. A dire 1-0 defeat to Celtic. We were shit. However the Dons are doing alright in the league like. Celtic take care of Rangers and we beat Hearts at home (who haven't been nearly as good as they were last season) and we go second! Oh and, ahem, the small matter of losing to amateurs Queens Park in the League Cup. But after a 2-0 win at Falkirk things look back on track again. Bank of Scotland Premier League Table 1 Celtic 7 7 16 2 Hearts 7 3 13 3 Rangers 7 6 12 4 Aberdeen 7 4 12 5 Hibernian 7 4 11 6 Kilmarnock 7 -1 11 7 St Mirren 7 -1 10 8 Inverness CT 7 -1 7 9 Dundee Utd 7 -2 7 10 Falkirk 7 -6 7 11 Dunfermline 7 -3 5 12 Motherwell 7 -10 3 Could be worse I guess! As for the team I coach, Peebles Under 16's, we've had an interesting start to the season. An 8-0 tonking at home by Musselburgh was followed up by a 4-1 defeat against Preston Athletic. Musselburgh were incredible but Preston were poor and we should have done a lot better. Since then 4 wins on the bounce. 4-0 vs Duns, 9-0 vs Currie Star and 5-1 against Cavalry Park in the league. A 3-2 win in the Scottish Cup against Dalkeith who are in the league above was excellent. Lothian Buses Eastern Region Division 3 Edinburgh East 5 13 Preston Athletic 4 10 Musselburgh Windsor 3 9 Peebles 5 9 Cavalry Park 5 6 Murieston United Blue 4 6 Haddington United 3 4 Seton BC 2 4 Currie Star 5 3 Tranent Colts 4 3 Duns Juniors 6 0 How's everyone elses other teams doing? sweetleftpeg 0
Been to see Whitley quite a bit this season when we haven't had a home game. I drink with the grandad of one of the lads who plays for them, which makes me feel fucking ancient. Playing some good stuff imo, fantastic FA Cup tie on Saturday which they won 3-2. It's hard to tell anything from the table, as some teams have played 9 whilst others have only played 4. Special mention to rock botttom West Allotment Celtic, who my faffa used to play for and I go to see occasionally. Monster 0
5th out of 10 in the Scottish Second. Played three at home and been humped roundly in every one of them, for which the 'manager' blames the fans 'lack of positivity'. The useless prick. However we are unbeaten away from home, picking up 10 points out of 12. Still shite though. Always have been, always will be. Brechin away tomorrow. Nice little 7 hour round trip on the coach. I was never more then a casual follower anyway, although I did get to alot of the home games in the 3rd and 2nd divisions when i lived there. Last season's top scorer (in the whole league) has been pretty ineffective this season and rarely looks interested. Edit: I've just read that this is the worst ever start in the Third Division by any club. Considering how awful East Stirling have been recently this makes me feel very bad. Toonraider 0
We're (Torquay) doing pretty well. Same as usual, we normally have a good season then a bad one. Ian Atkins was bought in end of last season and managed to keep us up with a brilliant late run. Now we're doing ok, gutted today though, winning 3-2 away at Macclesfield and let in a late goal.
