A DVD audio ripper eh? I have no idea what the bit in bold means BTW Also, the gig is in two parts (two titles) but I'd like to be able to skip to different songs. How would I do that? How would I do that? the songs on the disc will be in the form of chapters - so all you do is select the chapters you want and rip away. you will know what 'lossy' and 'lossless' formats are but by another name. for example - mp3 is a 'lossy' format because when you rip it strips out portions of the data in the file in order to get a smaller file size. wav is a 'lossless' format because when you rip to wav it copies the exact information from the cd without removing any of the data. this means that a single song could be 55mb in size in the wav format but only 5mb in the mp3 format. most people think that smaller better but as an experiment, try ripping a single song to mp3 at 32k. it'll be unlistenable. there are also many different 'lossy' and 'lossless' formats for both audio and video files. But only if you've got plenty of free HD space and RAM- obviously not a problem for Lazarus and the like. You can get a dubious copy of Audition from Mininova- dead easy wave editor, though if you can get Cool Edit Pro 2 this is probably better.
