Am I only allowed to listen to 1 genre at a time like?  How long must I wait before changing genre?

Nazi!

Yes, forever if it is Jurassic 5.

Nazi? Well I was just listening to KMFDM but I don't think so.

KEXP.

Jurrasic Five are fuckin top quality, son.  Maybe you'll understand when you're older :nufc:

Define older bluestar?

Older than you or older than 15 and Jurrasic 5's target demographic?

Constantines - Tournament of Heats

Not sure if I like it. I have liked the Constantines but this seems a little too clean, a little too Springsteen, not in itself a disparaging remark but...well meant as one in this case. Maybe I've been listening too much to the evil Jesus Lizard lately but this sounds a little tame, a little too...organised. It's a good record but perhaps I'm too drunk to appreciate it's finer qualities. I'd give it a shallow hug, or a sarcastic smile at best though I might rave about it when asked again.

In saying it has a barroom swagger that does sink in once you get past the...*checks cd player* fourth track. It's a mood album and it might seem you're scratching around for the first ten minutes then a hook hits you and you're game for what's coming. It's a good album, I'm not saying it's not. I don't want to short change you. I would urge all Springsteen albums to rush out and all others to gently stride out, to their closest retail outlet so long as it isn't HMV or Virgin. Fuck it, download it and see if you think these cool Canadians deserve the ten or fifteen quid it might cost to get it from a proper record shop. You know, one where the counter staff can actually engage you in a conversation about the music you like.

Danger Doom - The Mouse & The Mask

Anyone who can help me with what sample is used on Old School I'd appreciate it. It's driving me mad. I know it's really famous but I just can't remember.

Rialto - Monday Morning 5:19

Nothing much to say about this lot really. Slightly smug/knowing attitude, odd intonation, sweeping cinematic soundscapes, rapidly disappeared in a puff of "they've just released the same album twice, haven't they?".

I'm currently listening to nothing but a slight ringing in my ears.

Just got back from a Hard-Fi gig at the Union. Was fun ;)

Haha, and yeh, home by 11pm. We're good children, us.

Deerhoof - The Runners Four

Quirky guitar led (mainly) indie pop with some great melodies and the most bizzare (and possibly annoying, I haven't decided yet) singing I've heard in a long time.

I think it's going to end up being one of my favourite albums or I absolutely hate it.

I remember hearing for the first time many years ago, when i was bought 'Shine, The Best Of '97, a compilation featuring the likes of Eels, Radiohead etc. I thought it was alright then, not too bad I suppose.

Haha, tell me about it!

They had the funniest support acts.... the first one, the leader singer/guitarist looked as if he'd learnt to play guitar in between IT sessions and chess club. There's a general rule, a mon avis that give pretty much any guy the ability to play an electric guitar, and it makes him hot. At least a little. But, alas, this guy hadn't seemed to have got that memo. And then the second support act was a bit less geeky, but one of the guys was one of those crazy lets-act-like-i'm-on-drugs-and-run-around-the-stage types. While the rest of them were just, well, normal. T'was so bizarre.

I'm listening to a cover of Eskimo Joe's From The Sea.
