The Fish 10972
Dead Can Dance- yulunga it's good, but just... it's not my bag to be honest. I expect a shoddily acted film to use this as it's background music as the Hero is ingratiating himself into the local tribe.

How did you go with the cocteau twins and catpower (one for Cath)? Bat for lashes - fur and gold again (got a couple of work colleagues into it as well). Bat for lashes - fur and gold again (got a couple of work colleagues into it as well). really really like cocteau twins, Cat Power is also really enjoyable. I know I shouldn't but her voice reminds me of someone and I want to say Eva Cassidy... but I know it's not her that I'm being reminded of. :/ I prefer BfL though, there's something of Bjork about Sad Eyes

The Fish 10972
BfL or Cocteau and Cat Power? and what mojave 3 like? wouldn't it be easier if you uploaded a torrent?
sammynb 3508
BfL or Cocteau and Cat Power? and what mojave 3 like? wouldn't it be easier if you uploaded a torrent? Probably but the work firewall won't allow access to torrent or any other file sharing sites. Small concession I make to my employer as IT person - the shitty second job I do because the television production is seasonal. Oh Mojave 3 is Slowdive 10 years later gone acoustic (slowdive were a bunch shoegazers in the my bloody valentine mould). Sort of a more talented belle and sebastian (sorry Bridget). Guest Patrokles
If you're interested in the Cocteaus, Fish, my personal favourite list of songs would be (no order): Cherry-Coloured Funk Iceblink Luck Fotzepolitic From the Flagstones Kookaburra Those Eyes, That Mouth Bluebeard Tishbite Half-Gifts Carolyn's Fingers Ivo Lorelei Pandora Amelia Aloysius Donimo I've never been into Cat Power but I do know she covered Michael Hurley's 'Werewolf,' which is a terrific song. I haven't heard her version, but it's worth finding some Hurley. Blue Mountain and Tea Song especially.
