Guest Patrokles
Definitely worth a go. The 80s produced some very good music on both sides of the pond and gets very unfairly tarred with the cheesy synthpop brush. Orange Juice, Josef K, The Sound, The Chameleons, Young Marble Giants, The Blue Nile, Railway Children, Cocteau Twins, Dream Syndicate, Let's Active, the dB's, The Wild Swans, Rain Parade, Go-Betweens, Icicle Works, House of Love, Comateens, Game Theory, Trash Can Sinatras, The Go-Gos, etc. all started in the 80s, and there are countless more. Also the 80s produced so many brilliant bands who released one incredible song then just vanished. I'll try and track down some songs by all of these and stick up a post about it. Guest alex
I like a lot of 80's stuff tbh. Although a bit more mainstream I suppose, New Order and The Smiths in particular are two of my favourite bands still. Cliched I know I listen to all sorts really.
