Tom 14011
Joe Carnall & The Book Club - Wheelbarrows for Wallets When you see how many records Arctic Monkey's have shifted it's weird how Milburn/Joe Carnall is general in relatively unsuccessful. Brock Manson 0
Tom Waits - Rain Dogs BOOM it's a hit. Meenz groomed me into Tom Waits a few years back, but having a bit of a revival phase. An incredible artist make no mistake.
Tom 14011
Some bloke from an off license groomed me into Waits so consider yourself classy. I heard the voice & the double bass and I had to know what it was - turns out I studied the film Down By The Law at Uni & wrote a long piece on it but I focussed it more on Jarmusch than the sound track! Either way I'm really enjoying Alice & Blood Money at the moment. Rain Dogs being the best, Small Change being up there. Problem is when I listen to Waits I walk round the house doing my best impression of him, like whenever, boiling the kettle, taking a piss, people think I'm insane. Brock Manson 0
Quality. And with your voice I'll bet that sounds a treat. First I heard of his was 'I Hope That I Don't Fall In Love With You' and thought it was grand, then heard some of the more....gravelly stuff. Bit of a shock but liked him ever since. Rain Dogs definitely some of his best. Cemetary Polka is possibly one of my favourite Waits songs. He's working on a new album, reckon I might try and nab tickets if he tours anywhere near me.
