Vilija - Oh My God

A bit of Lithuanian pre-selection magic here. The lyrics run along these lines:

Hell! He's a little sucker - joker, who runs around

He never goes underground, except to play the football

A drunken waterfall, he's an animal, what an animal

I keep hater, he's almost a raper

His name is God

Just a little fuck

God does many poor things but even they don't have us living

Who will recognise us when we'll be a drop in this ocean?

Oh my God, oh my God, oh my God!

So should've made it to Eurovision. How could the Europeans have resisted?

20 Tom Waits albums? That's dedication. I stopped at Swordfishtrombone and didn't return until Gone out West.

Paul Kelly & the Messengers - No you

(I may have found myself a new hero) :  ;)

Is that a pro or anti ;) PC?

Paul Kelly is one of those artists that does 1 or 2 awesome releases in a row and then an absolute stinker.

In about 1987 he released a song called "I want to be like billy baxter" with his band (the coloured girls - that was changed quickly once he wanted to release stuff in the US) which was a musical  of a guy who was Melbourne's "favourite" indie artist. Billy Baxter all but disappeared (last seen in a band called the hollowmen) and Paul Kelly just went on and on.
