Listened to the MGMT for the last week. A bit different to the last album, which is nice.

Must have a look for the Caribou.

Been listening to The Morning Benders. Very good.

About to get stuck into the new LCD Soundsystem

Wasn't so sure initially, but it's grown on me a great deal....much like the previous 2.

Yeah, I really like it.

Was due to go the gig over here on Tuesday, but volcanoe etc.

Going to see LCD Soundsystem in a couple of weeks, should be canny.

Got that Caribou album after all the hype around Odessa, nice album reminds me of Carl Craig, except not as good. Certainly didn't get the idea that it was 'water' not 'metallic' sounding techno/electronica.

Slash's new album after buying Classic Rock.

I'm really liking it, there are some class tracks on it. The opening track with Ian Astbury may cost me a new set of speaker in the car after I blow them ;)

The Fergie track shows a different side to her and even the Kid Rock track fairs better than I'd expected. Mind you, its still a track with Kid Rock on it........

A bit of a surprise for me are the Myles Kennedy tracks - of which there are 2. I had an Alter Bridge album off a girl I used to work with and ended up deleting it as I just couldn't get into it. He's got a great voice though hell of a range. He's going to front the touring band for Slash apparently. There's rumour going round that he was offered the vocals for VR after Weiland fucked off but turned it down to concentrate on his own thing. Shame, as he'd have been class.

Many of the tracks are strongly influenced by the guest vocalist (although not written by them) - Ghost could have been a Cult track for example.

I've been hammering it for the last couple of weeks and its not getting tired yet.

I think Caribou have disappointed me more with each album. I've not listened to any Manitoba but I loved The Milk of Human Kindness. Can't get into Swim at all though, Andorra was somewhere between the two.

Gorillaz - White Flag

Slade - mama Weer All Crazee Now
