At this point, are me and Tom the youngest on here at the ripe age of our mid 30s? you're both probably too young to be on here really.

This was a typical gew weeks that's a fucking impressive start to the year! which one was it? 78? saw most of the bands on there, not all though. would love to seen the boys and the radiators from space, 'enemies' is an absolute classic. steel pulse is a proper blast from the past, saw them the only time I think I ever went to a gig there, the guild hall on the quayside opposite the cooperage. anti-nazi league do, they played as support to the fall and the mekons.

I saw 3 of those. Penetration, Wire and the Rezillos, in retrospect missing the Talking Heads was a mistake, and I never got to see them Saw the Boys a couple of times. My favourite thing about the Boys is the way they realised Terminal Love sounded the same as Knocking on Heavens Door so the they just segue into it on the record. Probably cost them a fortune in royalties Must dig out my copy of To Hell with the Boys and annoy the wife Edited September 20 by spongebob toonpants

wykikitoon 20129
Been listening to some Texas. Sharleen Spiteri has a great voice. Never appreciated it when I was younger when my sister played it over and over again full blast.

It was one of those where you end up fancying the fuck out of her just cos of talent and the fact she's got the whole place in the palm of her hand. The place was absolutely packed out with lesbians who clearly felt the same.

I was glad they got the success but just not with their best stuff, again imo.
Alex 35074
My lass was into them. Me not so much but I always thought she was a cool front for the band and I like her voice. I like I Don’t Want a Lover, which I think might’ve been their breakthrough hit. I’m a bit of a sucker for that bluesy slide guitar sound. Loads of people had their Southside album in the late 80s / early 90s. Probably a bit ‘coffee table’ for me at the time but I’d probably like it now. Monkeys Fist 42402
There was a session by the Ezra Collective on Mary-Anne-Makes-My-Teeth-Itch Hobbes earlier on Radio 6. Very good if you’re in to a bit of jazz funk type gear. I’ll be going through their catalogue tomorrow when I’m back in the Strangle Wagon. She's got great taste in music, she seems dead canny, but her voice is just fucking insufferable.

I think her voice sounds lovely, she seems dead canny but whenever I've put her show on her taste in music is rotten.
PaddockLad 17245
I hate her voice and her taste in music. Never listen to 6 music now, they’ve turned it into 1 extra’s try hard wannabe cool older brother/sister which has alienated the core middle aged miserablists like me who are ironically those who saved it when the bbc tried to get rid of it about a decade ago I’ll give Ezra collective a spoodle though

Mary Anne: 'Can I get you anything, HMHM? A cup of tea? A glass of water? You've still got a fever, can I rub anything for you?'' Me: 'Yes you can rub something if you don't mind, Mary Anne?' Mary Anne: 'Shall I put some music on while I do it?' Me: 'Errrr.....nah, you're alright, honestly, I was only just listening to some music the other day, I'm fine thanks.' Would see her around Altrincham and walking through the little local park. She always appeared pretty friendly
