Nirvana are another band who haven’t aged well, to my ears at least. They’re alright but just about the only act from then of that ilk that I still really like are Faith No More*. I know the latter aren’t ‘grunge’ but that was a fairly meaningless catch all term for bands from in and around Seattle at that time anyway.
*Up to and including ‘Angel Dust’

I only occasionally find myself listening to Nevermind and In Utero but when I do I like them. I don't get the adulation for them, and I don't rate their other albums, but as things to dip your feet in, they're both a good listen and two albums that I'll rarely skip a track on.

Jane's Addiction reunion tour looks to he over anyway.

Band had a fight onstage, bringing last night's show to an end.

I can’t listen to them anymore like. I tried a while back and although I used to like them I find Perry Farrell’s vocals are really fucking awful

It was him teeing off on Navarro for seemingly no reason that ended the show.

Saw them around 90/91 and he was doing that then, man is a fucking bore with a whiny voice.

I reckon it could well have been the studio mate, if that ties in with the early 80s?

The building that was the Oxford dance hall was Tiffany’s night club iirc before the Studio / Ritzy days, in case that rings a bell

Bitch I worked in Bliss. And I was significantly less cheerful than the lad in the second gif.

Same place, couldn't remember which name it was under when you were there.

They renamed it Bliss on my last day, at the request of the female clientele.

actually, tiffany's does even more familiar. it would also mean gemmill was wrong, which just about confirms it.

It probably will be. When I think about it. It was before my time (I didn’t like the later incarnations to be honest). But me and a couple of mates from middle school went to Tiffany’s a few times when they had these Hip Hop things on for under 16s (alcohol free, obviously) on Saturday afternoons. That must’ve been 86/87 ish. Apart from being shite at breakdancing (despite loving the music) I was put off from going to many of these due to the constant fear of getting chinned by older lads. I think they were inevitably closed down due to kids sneaking in booze or just getting rat arsed before the went in.
