Electric Picnic is supposed to be good for families. My mates were telling me to bring my daughters down after they had been a couple of years ago. The kids at the time were 1 and 2 though. Also, none of my mates have kids and are idiots.

I think they've all gone very far from the idea of Talking Heads; David Byrne was very in to the Brazilian pop stuff that I just didn't get.

Tina Weymouth & Chris Frantz may still be doing the Tom Tom Club.

I see your point btw; having seen Joy Division, I never had time for New Order

It has mythical status in our family. Me and my brother recorded it onto Betamax () video when Arena on BBC2 showed it in 84(?). We would put it on ever day after school, played it so incessantly that my mum now knows all the lyrics to Crosseyed and Painless off by heart. Or she did at the time anyway. My brother's wife who is Swedish has been completely indoctrinated and now knows every moment, every bizarre dance move. My lass has slowly got up to speed, we had it on at Christmas last year and the 4 of us we're singing along. Now the kids are going to get it. This Must be the place is the family anthem.

Saw the Byrne/Eno Everything That Happens tour twice, once in Paris with wor lass and once at The Big Chill on loads of amazing pills. Better than seeing Nirvana in 89 at the Riverside.

Likewise. May just wait for it for a proper release.

Gave it one listen through, some canny laughs, good to hear a bit of anger from him again too.

Just watrched the video for the single too. Was horrified by the first minute, then very amused by the violent turn.

Love his gang too :D

Half of my mates off their tits down there. The kids are terrified of them half of the time anyway.

Anyway, listening to the Futureheads acapella album 'Rant'. Going to see them tomorrow. Still undecided what I think of an entire acapella album/gig.
