Dr Gloom 21760
this lad isn't getting any younger. for all his potential, pace and strength, he is still making elementary mistakes that are losing us games. i blame bramble for the defeat on saturday - both their goals came from titus ball watching and losing his man. he's a liability and i don't see how at 24 he is going to get much better. why oh why didn't we buy a commanding centre half in the transfer window? i can't believe we've stuck with bramble when sol campbell was going on a free. Guest alex
I'm inclined to agree. That's not knee-jerk btw, it's an assessment of his whole NUFC career.

wykikitoon 19806
The goals we conceded at the weekend were schoolboy tbh, shocking!

Spot on, every word. There was also some comical defending earlier in the game that could easily have resulted in a goal.
JawD 99
He was shocking at the weekend. The first goal was crap or non-existant defending all round. But, two main things stuck out. They got past Ramage who had been getting turned inside out all game. Then Bramble left it to go past him as if he'd had a shout. Comical. He only got worse after that as in the last 10 mins they took the piss out of our whole defence. All that against mighty Fulham. Well, this is our easy start to the season eh. Gemmill 44106
Ramage is awful at left back. I would have played Bernard with no match fitness or Zog at left back ahead of Ramage. Like JawD says, the way they skipped past him for the first goal, we literally may as well have had 10 men on the pitch. Mind, Zog's crossing at the weekend was desperado. Jimbo 172
It seems that Roeder quickly saw that Boumsong was not good enough surely the penny will drop regarding Bramble too and soon before we throw away more points.
The Fish 10671
Off the top I can think of three center halves we feasibly could have signed (Woodgate, Huth and Campbell), for little, if any, outlay. Instead we overstock the forward line, yes we needed a striker, but we didn't need Antoine Sibierski as well as Martins and Rossi Bernards return could be beneficial and Martins may come good, Rossi is a decent signing on loan... but I cannot for the life of me understand why we haven't signed a center half. Sure, Campbell is old now, but even at his age he's a damned sight sharper that Titus Bramble. what are the laws surrounding loan or free signings outside of the transfer window? Ugly Mackems 133
Bramble would struggle to get a job stacking shelves in Netto if he finished playing football tomorrow. It makes no logical sense to offer the buffoon a new contract, but he is in effect worth nothing in todays transfer market except maybe a very nominal fee. The hierarchy will look to not write off the money we've pissed down the river already in transfer fee/wages by offering him an extension to his contract. Roeder will be moving the Club forward by telling Bramble he will be leaving at the end of his contract.

Next summer i think. 06.2007 according to .com Sorry i sarted another Shambles thread didn't see this one! June 2007 right that will do me. Don't play him unless we absolutely have to, as Moore and taylor should 100% be first choice Ramage after them (ok he's certainly no LB) and try and get something (anything) for him in Jan if not just give him away. The guy gives me nightmares.
David Kelly 1217
The sooner he's out of the team the better tbh. He's looked poor right from the off this season and the last two games he's cost us goals we should not be conceding. Also by all accounts we were pumping long balls into the front two again on Saturday (fortunately I didn't get back from my hols in time for the match) and I assume that as usual Bramble and Given were the major culprits for this. Getting Taylor in might not just strengthen our defence but also improve our passing. Oh and sorry to go off topic but why the fuck did we sign that plank from Citeh? Not good enough for the makems from what I've seen of him!

Dr Kenneth Noisewater 0
what are the laws surrounding loan or free signings outside of the transfer window? Free signings can be made as the as the player is not currently attached to a club. Don't think there will be many commanding centre halves kicking there heels at the moment unfortunately. I've stood up for Titus in the past but he continues to disappoint. A new contract would be madness.
Isegrim 9680
As I said after the Villa match, giving him a new contract would be stupidity. He is a total liability as a player, because you just can't rely on him. He is costing us far too many points.
gram 0
I'm usually very forgiving but he has had one chance too many now. Has all the physical attributes but needs to go somewhere else. Still cant believe we didnt make and better attempt at getting Woodgate. Love watching him play - even if it is for 3 matches a season.
