sweetleftpeg 0 Posted September 6, 2006 Share Posted September 6, 2006 Having to live with what he did, in prison, knowing he's going to be stuck there the rest of his live, is more of a punishment than killing him. That's why he's tried to kill himself, he has no life. Keeping him alive keeps him suffering, which is surely the right punishment for such a terrible crime. Killing him would lower oursleves imo and also give him what he wants, an early release. Same with terrorists, they want to be martyrs, which is why if found guilty they should NOT be executed.
