Guest Patrokles
Having said that (going back to the original post in the thread), the knives are out after a poor closing 10 minutes of a 90 minute match. So it goes to show that the fans can be influenced by the final stages rather than the overall.

The blame for our performances are down to Roeder, as individuals we have some good players, they dont perform together on the pitch, lets be honest our recent performances in Europe were fucking crap when you take into account the opposition. Weve got to stop dreaming of getting top players in, it wont happen even if fatso comes up with the funds, who will want to come here, people on here go on about Klose, youd have to shoot him and drag his body here. Roeder cant manage this team or any other in my opinion. Fulham today were shite yet they turned us over, says it all. And on the subject of players coming here lets not forget that Owen DID say he came here for the money, not for footballing reasons.

As it is, the defence blotted their copybook big-time in the last 10 minutes, and the overall feeling is entirely one of disappointment. I disagree that we looked clueless all game, there were a few very promising moves that hopefully bode well for the future once everyone has settled in. peasepud 59
Playing the long ball game with Martins up front doesnt really make Roeder seem like a tactical genuis like.

As I've said elsewhere, we were ok in midfield. Everywhere else we were poor though. The defence had nothing to do until Fulham decided to score two goals. There's little point in trying to be positive after today, I really don't know what point you're trying to make. The only positive was that the midfield did ok. Not much good when we lost a game we should have walked. Fulham are notoriously bad away from home, and yet we couldn't kill them off and ended up losing the game. We won't get much worse opposition coming to SJP this season. That's pretty worrying if you ask me.

Bollocks, if the match had finished after 80 minutes a lot would have said that we squeezed a lucky win, because the match had written 0-0 all over it. The contribution from the midfield by creating chances was very little, the defence looked very shaky the whole time and the front two looked totally lost. Well, don't worry, we'll soon have Canny Kieron back. It'll be like like a new sigining and will lift the whole squad, unquote blah blah blah.......... Guest alex
So, that's our problem is it? The game lasted the full 90 minutes instead of finishing 10 minutes early? Tbh, loads of people would have been happy were that the case but most fans attitude is were great if we win and shit if we lose. Anyone with a bit of a clue would have realised that a 1-0 win would have papered over the cracks of a poor performance against a Fulham side that was awful on the day.
