MattM4 0
Just the new policy I guess that we have to use the Adidas Numbers now when playing in Europe. Wish we'd keep the EPL style ones like we always did.

Craig 6700
What gets me is, if they're insisiting on using the adidas numbers without the patch, why not use the gold ones like they did for the Shearer testimonial. Or, more preferably, red!

Shearergol 0
Red looks shite IMO, not our colour at all. Blue would be ok.
Craig 6700
When the shirt numbers used to be red (from at least the 50s up until 1993), they were readable from anywhere on the terraces. That's far more important that whether it's asthetically pleasing, or 'our' colour IMO. That fact that it's red makes no odds to me, it's not like Sunderland use red numbers is it? White and gold just doesn't work as well, the only white ones I remember working were the Asics ones and the first Adidas ones. Didn't we have black numbers one season too? Zathras 267
Stands out well, but I don't like the aesthetics of the red for some reason. I figured that I would but it's almost too garish.
