catmag 337
Begs the question like, why would 16 year olds want to go to Lourdes?! 176425[/snapback] We also took 40 sick and disabled people who stay in the hospital there and need nurses, doctors, and other people to care for them full time whilst they're there. The young people make up part of that team. So in answer to your question - they go to do something worthwhile, to make a difference, to make the lives of people less fortunate than themselves a little bit better and to do something they can be proud of. It beats sitting in front of a computer all day or drinking cider on street corners. It's not something they brag about cos it's not "cool" but they were all amazing. Oh, and there were actually 140 of the young'uns - only half of them were under 18.
