Mark 0
Pacific poker has the worst players. www.pokerlistings.com is good to find out about online poker rooms. Can't find anything about Daniel Negranu's full contact poker, that could be decent. Mowen 0
By the way, www.sharkscope.com is a good website for checking up on your opponents when you get down to the last few...or a way to check if your mates have been lying about their profit margins. Only get 5 free searches a day, and it doesn't return data for ring games, but an excellent resource nonetheless.

This includes raising the community aspect of the site above and beyond that found at traditional online poker sites, as well as offering the first ever gay poker game, known simply as ComeOut Hold’em. Online Poker for Gay Lesbian Community Opens: ComeOutPoker Netherlands Antilles, September 12, 2006 -- ComeOutPoker.com, the world’s first online poker site catering exclusively to the Gay Lesbian Bisexual Transgender (GLBT) community, launched its real online poker room today. Recent surveys report that the poker boom is still experiencing record growth. An estimated one-in- five or 18% of American adults have reported playing poker during 2005. Considering that there are an estimated 200 million American adults, that means an estimated 36 million adults played poker during 2005. By contrast, it is estimated that 1 in 10 American adults is gay. That means there is close to 3.6 million gay poker players in the U.S. alone. “ComeOutPoker is proud to be the first online poker site to provide the GLBT Community a real poker room,” said ComeOutPoker.com spokesman Marc Willis. “Poker has long been a way for people to come together in a community-like atmosphere to meet, play, and have fun. The GLBT community is long overdue to enjoy the same excitement and fellowship that has been readily available to the straight community for years.” While some of the big-name poker sites may claim gay members, ComeOutPoker.com makes sure they stay true to their claim of being the first site that exclusively caters to the GLBT community. This includes raising the community aspect of the site above and beyond that found at traditional online poker sites. New Poker Game Launched For GLBT - No Straights It goes even farther by offering poker games with a fun twist. For example, ComeOutPoker.com offers a place for its members to enter a detailed profile as well as a photo. While playing poker, ComeOutPoker members can chat real-time amongst themselves, and for as long as they are logged in. ComeOutPoker also boasts the first ever gay poker game, known simply as ComeOut Hold’em. The game is played along the same guidelines as Texas Hold’em, but all straights are eliminated from the ranking of the hands. ComeOut Hold’em is available in all sit and go, tournament, and heads-up games. Willis summarized by saying, “ComeOutPoker is trying to appeal to poker players in the GLTB community as the #1 site for them to play, as well as bring the fun and excitement of online poker to the GLBT community as a whole. We have a number of VERY exciting promos in the pipeline, so be sure to come back often to check out ComeOutPoker.com!” Learn more... MattM4 0
right another random question!! What should be the order of value of colours for these chips? Seems to vary depending on who I play with, and it's annoying. I say Low - White - Green - Red - Blue - Black - High yeah? played last night with some friends and we usually do white:0.10€ green:0.20€ red: 0.50€ blue: 1.00€ black: 2.00€ ... or half those values. Mark 0
Doesn't really matter. Depends on the game. White is normally the lowest.
adios 717
This appears to agree with you (EDIT: Actually, not quite), I seem to remember someone saying it's variable, but probably safe to get used to a pattern. Gemmill, that package arrived today, will have a look this evening. Cheers, you're a star. PS The girlfriend just said you have girly handwriting! I often turn to moaning behaviour online when people raise too much even before the flop, gets on my nerves. When I get some insults in return it makes victory even sweeter. Mark 0
I purposely try to annoy people who think they are good, as there ego gets the better of them and the go into any pot you are in and try and bluff you to prove they are better, but you just fleece them. Matt 0
Just about to join this poker bandwagon as a mate of mine is starting a few poker nights in a month or so and I've no intention of donating my stash without a fight. What's the best site for getting to grips with the game- I know a lot of the casinos have a downloadable exe- any recommendations? It goes without saying that as a n00b, all previous posts seem to be in code.

I played 24 last night one first, five thirds and a beautiful 18 OTM. Stupid bloody game. I listened to disc 1 btw. Really good sound advice, but be a bit careful on applying too much of it to the short stack SNG game. A lot of the suited connectors and post flop stuff will just get you into trouble in SNGs because if it doesnt work you are left short stacked straight away. I do like his stuff on aggression and position

I do like his stuff on aggression and position Aye I've listened to it a few times now and it does seem pretty good advice for the most part. I'm still sticking fairly rigidly to the 2+2 strategy for the most part, whilst trying to play as little as possible out of position. It's becoming more and more apparent what a disadvantage that is. The problem with the online SNGs is that you start with so few chips (1500 on Full Tilt), so if you play a couple of hands aggressively with good but not great hands and lose, you're nigh on crippled - which I suppose explains the strict starting hand requirements on that 2+2 strategy.
