Dr Kenneth Noisewater 0
Without having to go all the way through the thread, can someone advise me on the best on-line Texas Hold'em tutorial for an absolute novice? Edit: And also somewhere where you can practice for free against other equally bad players? MattM4 0
Best way to learn is to play... maybe quickly read the Holdem wikipedia page then try it out. Pretty much every single sites has "free money" tables or tournaments: Pokerstars, Fulltilt, PKR, EverestPoker...
Gemmill 44148
I'm busy pwning the $1/$2 games on Full Tilt as we speak. Up over $2k for January month to date. Fucking high roller tastic.

MattM4 0
Right... 4 of a kind has to be beaten by straight flush I guess. You got there in the end. What's the rake like at FT? Do you get rakeback? Playing some healthy limits there, must have a nice bankroll going.

Guest BigThompers
Big Thompers has just been offered a poker sponsorship. Basically, I play with somebody else's money (topped up every day), and get to keep 50% of any profit. There's different levels, I'll be starting at $50 per day, but if I'm a success could get anywhere up to $10k per day

Guest BigThompers
I'm sceptical tbh. Proven tbh. There's a guy that plays down our workingmens club on a Monday night on one of these sponsorships. He gets $2k per day to play with. He doesn't work. Smooth Operator 10
Can 1 of you card-sharps help me out here. Was playing snap the other day with my nearly 2 year old, and we were arguing who won if, I shout snap but don't put my hand on the pile of cards or she shouts snap (after me) and then puts her hand on the pile of cards first. I told her I won cos I said snap first and this hand thing wasn't regulation snap playing! So 1-0 to dad right?

Guest BigThompers
What was your bankroll when you were on the 1/2 tables Gemmill? I've come to realize that sitting with less than 10% of your bankroll is the best way to play. The biggest mistake people (myself in the past) make is sitting down with their whole stack. I've altered my play massively in the last couple of months. Sponsorship begins 14th March
