Sorry, I'll endeavour to cut the response times to a more acceptable level in future. <_<

I've played around with the demo but haven't bought it yet. I might pick it up today. Someone mentioned something about being able to upload your hand histories to it. How does that work?

Just been playing with PokerTracker, it's handy for analysing your position and profit on particular hands, plus you can replay a hand for easy "what the fuck was I thinking there" value, but it's a fucking pain to import tournament summaries, for Stars anyway, so tourney manager is definitely worth the money.

Any of these poker tracker thingys free?

playing my first live tournament tomorrow <_<!

:) Where? Details.

Anyone fancy telling me about rakeback? This will probably become really important in the long run, except of course I can't sign-up to any of the sites I'm already on...technically.

I quite fancy the Aspers thing like. Will go sooner or later for a lark. £20 is a cheap night out tbh.

Yeah, went to sign up for the tourney today, so while I was waiting for my mates signing up I played 3 card poker. I had a flush first hand, but dealer didnt qualify. Was gutted.

played 3 hands, and lost a tenner.

spongebob, do you have a standard set of calling ranges that you use for 6/5/4-handed analysis on SNG Power Tools? Or do you adjust them based on that particular game? The standard ones that he has on there seem a bit high (I find that a lot of people will call with Ax) and just wondered if you had a formula for these. Ta.

Depends on the stack size and whether the bloke knows what he is doing. Working out other peoples ranges is how you beat the game.

Bush signed the Bill. Full Tilt, Full Contact, WPEX, Absolute, True Poker, Doyle's Room still accepting US players at the moment.

Apparently none on Stars or Party.

Stars is still ok for americans I think

I hope so, I'm just looking now, I'm pretty sure I'm looking at players from the US right now.

EDIT: Definitely.

I favour it over Party and a few others, but Full Tilt might be better, and I'd be watching which way the fish swim before making a decision.

What kind of notes are people keeping on the players around them during the game?

Is it all mental notes or do you scribble them down, what details do you keep track of, and what are the key signals for you?

I have an excel spreadsheet for all of the players noting things like: % hands played, anything the showed-down and how they gambled that hand, what size of bet they fold to as a % of the pot and sometimes their stack.

I don't bother tbh. Not playing SNGs cos you're playing different people all the time for the most part. Won't Pokertracker do a lot of that for you?

I mean in-game, though, not for future reference. I don't even keep the notes, as poker tracker will have all that for after, anyway.

The idea is I get used to doing it all, and eventually it just becomes habit, no need to take notes. It also helps to keep me focused.

I just wanted to get some insight into other people's strategies, to steal your minds, as it were.

Nah, I don't bother. I normally just keep an eye out for who seems to know what they're doing and act accordingly.

By the way, you're a Stars type. Why are all of the SNGs I import into Tracker showing zero buy in and zero winnings? Is there something I should be doing? Party worked fine.
