Scottish Mag 3
Sky Sports News have revealed Sven Goran Eriksson's agent Athole Still is heading up a third consortium trying to buy Aston Villa. Current Villa chairman Doug Ellis is ready to sell control of the club, with a figure in the region of £65 million likely to prove to be a successful bid. Lifelong Villa supporter Michael Neville is fronting one consortium in the running, while American billionaire Randy Lerner is also interested. But a third consortium has emerged on Wednesday evening, with prominent football agent Still spearheading a bid. Still is reported to have held talks with Villa officials on Wednesday to register his group's interest in buying the Premiership club and was filmed leaving Villa Park. Details of his proposal have yet to emerge, but his interest will inevitably spark suggestions that former England coach Eriksson could be a candidate to become Villa's new manager. sweetleftpeg 0
Ellis is being a twat if the American is to be believed, wants to sell the club but still wants to be in charge. He can't have it both ways like, either walk away or don't sell.
