sammynb 3342
There is a restaurant in Alice Springs that does a trio of local meat. Kangaroo - common as muck cross between beef and venison. Crocodile - just a big chucken you can make a pair of shoes and a handbag out of. And camel! I kid you not, it is like eating a cigar for taste. Emu is also fairly popular - more like goose than chicken. There was an indigenious restaurant in Newtown for a while that had witchetty grubs on the menu but not my thing
Woodgate27 0
Emu is nice, haven't had kangaroo since I was a child though. Kangaroo pie I think it was, didn't go down that well.
