Renton 21627
@wolfy BTW, nice to see Trump is living up to his non-hawkish isolationist promises by now threatening Venezuela with military action. Fucking hell, he's desperate to play with his toys isn't he? Still, at least he's not Hilary.

I think it's all about the humanitarian cost and the risk of having major powers facing off against each other. Trump's plan seems to be to publically humiliate North Korea into doing something stupid or shutting up. If they give him an excuse, he wipes them out. China accepts this and we're all good. I think if you can do it without collateral damage (which you can't, but for the sake of the moral argument let's assume you can), there would be no reason not to take them out. They're a repressive rogue state that is persistently aggressive to its neighbours and a destabilising force on the global arena. It's as cut and dry as it comes IMO. Rayvin 5223
Looks to me like he's trying to reposition so that the US are the aggressors by suggesting that the joint military exercise between US and SK will be a provocation but CNN's article was so full of waffle that I might have missed some details. If he's backed down for sure then it's quite a victory for Trump. Edited August 15, 2017 by Rayvin

wolfy 12
All this war stuff is old men and pen pushers sending kids to war over their petty disagreements. The reasons for those wars will be what you are told they are. The real reasons for the massacre of young people is sick and twisted minds creating a hatred of one man/woman against a similar man/woman from a different team/country/city/race...etc. Kill or be killed is the order of the day. When you go on holiday to any country and walk past people who are out for a leisurely walk in their own countries you both do it because you can. The sorry part of that is, both of those leisurely people can be programmed to kill each other by merely changing their garments and issuing a protocol. The world is a great place to live. Those who play the games behind the scenes are the real mind programmers who can make people hate each other, both foreign and domestic and can do it as and when required. We have natural disasters happening that we have little control over but apart from that, nothing else is done by accident. It is done by design and most people follow it for no other reason than mass programming.

Ken 119
It will never collapse. Kim has killed all his opponents and potential adversaries internally, he had his half brother killed using a nerve toxin in Malaysia as well, and he has kept external adversaries on notice with nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles. ewerk 30620
If he just kept his idiocy contained within his own borders he'd be allowed to get on with it. He's inviting pressure with these missile launches and threats.

If it is, that suggests that he actually is under internal pressure on the home front, to some degree. I'm not sure exactly how, but it's there nonetheless. ewerk 30620
I don't think he is. I think his plan with the nuclear weapons development is an attempt to ward off any external attempts on his power but it's going to have the opposite effect.
