Seems certain that they'd be in trouble. In fact, there seems no outcome from the whole thing that would be beneficial to them, even if the US won with minimal casualties. Jesus, just read that Seoul I'd only 35 miles from the border? That's within artillery range I imagine. Can't intercept hundreds of shells. Rayvin 5223
I think their best hope is that NK totally focuses on the US. Having said that, if this kicks off SK might go straight over the border themselves. The sooner they take the regime down, the fewer casualties there'll be. wolfy 12
It makes me laugh when you see Kim sitting there holding binoculars, supposedly looking out at his so called ICBM's lifting off in the distance, whilst he's sat near a bunch of commodore 64 like computers. We are and have been played like a pack of mugs for long enough with these jokers. The laughable part... or scary part, depending on how people take all of this nonsense, is, they will crank this right up and have even bigger laughs at our expense. The people I feel really sorry for are the genuine folk who buy into all of this and are fearing a nuclear war, for no other reason than trusting the media sources that aid in pushing agendas. All it takes if for people to use their own available time and mind and they will see what a farce it all is. Those who are happy to accept the nuke nonsense and the fictional arguments between superpowers against rogue nations, all I can say is, try not to worry too much about the games they play, because as nutty as these people appear to be to you in terms of you thinking they will press a nuke button, just remember one simple thing: Life is too short to hang onto constant worrying shenanigans played out for you by the scripted media. You were born with a logical brain and lots of potential to use it. The problem is our logic is being battered into submission in favour of literally scripted bollocks. Dr Gloom 21924
But how do you even know house prices are real? Where is the concrete evidence? There's a decent discussion to be had in this thread somewhere, once you wade through all the wolfy spam.

Rayvin 5223
I don't think we'd be involved in this conflict. Can we even project power that far any more? This is the US' issue alone - NK are no threat to Europe whatsoever.

This is my concern with Trump. Whatever approach the US takes, we need level headed calculation, not hot headed rhetoric.
Park Life 71
I doubt very much NK has a proper ICBM. They certainly have mid range missiles that can hit Japan. Last time I looked they were still having problems with getting a nuclear tipped re-entry vehicle on those even. I reckon they have 3/4 nukes which they still have to drop from planes. The last launch was a modified KN17 which is a mid range missile. There also hasn't been proper testing of a re-entry vehicle. I'd guess they are still a decade away from an ICBM that works with a re-entry vehicle. It took Russia and America ages to perfect these kinds of systems and they had limitless money and no restrictions. The most worrying thing about all this is the hype coming from both sides. Ayatollah Hermione 13873
Trump is desperate to obliterate something with a nuke before he eventually keels over/gets booted out. I mean, it's hard wired into most Americans anyway but you can tell that he's so insecure, that being the second President to make that call would be some validation. He's probably furious that he wouldn't be the first so he'll do a double drop, just so his atrocities can live on longer than the first time. "I nuked the world TWICE! The biggest loss of life in a single hour EVER. INCREDIBLE!"

Park Life 71
There will be no 'war'. They are just jostling for positions before talks start on the future of the NK nuclear program. Kim will agree to limit it so is trying to advance it as much as possible first. NK want some sanctions lifted and other stuff. Only China is stopping the country from starving. NK is chest beating. All they want to assure themselves of is their sovereignty. There is no war unless the US kicks it off. If it kicks off SK will turn against America in the end and blame them for being destroyed. It assists in China's long term strategy of regional dominance
Park Life 71
Yup they are only upping the ante to increase their bargaining position with reg to sovereignty and reduction of sanctions.
Renton 21627
But sanctions and economic isolation aren't working. I doubt Kim gives a shit if half his population starves, it's clearly not affecting him. Meanwhile we know they have detonated 5 fission weapons and either have or on the verge of developing ICBMs that can reach continental America. Only a matter of time before they can miniaturise and mass produce nuclear warheads. Where is this leading? Clearly a war now would be preferable to one in a decade. As for Seoul, having read up on it now it appears unlikely the city would be raised to the ground in a war, although there would inevitably be mass casualties. I would expect S Korea to remain military and economic allies with the US rather than China. Edited August 9, 2017 by Renton
