adios 717
I was embarrassed by Shearer today....he showed typical boys club immaturity. International football is as mental as it is physical and we fall for the tricks every bloody time like semi hard fat kids. 155304 I'd give him some leeway, all the blokes in the studio were gutted, Hansen was pulling them through, but they were all on the verge of tears. I thought the Italians beat the Autralians because they were not 'mature' enough for the Italian antics, and I agree you were done similarly today. Guest Sima
Oh and the ref was an argie cuntbag sending Rooney off for nowt. bastard. 155290 Apart from stamping on the guys bollocks and pushing someone aggressively English moronic hard done by mentality....we deserved to lose. It was lame. EDITED FOR BOOZE SPELLING 155302 OMG THOSE DIRTY FOREIGNERS ARE SHAFTING US AGAIN, WE ALWAYS GET SHAFTED BY EVERYONE Rinse. Repeat. JawD 99
Its right like, despite the quality in the side, they didnt play as a team who were organised. I do think though much of the blame lies at the feet of the manager. So many questions about the whole affair. Mainly with the striker issue. As for Rooney, The stamp could easily have been accidental, but the push was right in front of the ref. Fair point though about the yellow in the other game for the headbut. Still, we cant really complain about the sending off. Mind, Ronaldo, if he is still in the prem next season, will get some stick Also seen at the start of the game where he appeared to have a run in with Rooney. They suggested it was fun, but there looked a bit more to it to me like. Portugal are poor, just so happen's we're unorganised and unprepared. At least they saved us from getting embarrassed in the semi's.
Guest Sima
One good thing for England today, showed how absolutely amazing Owen Hargreaves is, hopefully stop all the ignorant twats claiming he doesn't deserve to be in the team. Special note for Shearer saying that English players never hound the referee. Yeah, sure, Alan.

Guest Sima
Whiter than white attitude by England fans :D Serioulsy Ronaldo is representing his country ffs, it has fuck all to do with his club football. Most Man Utd fans won't give him any stick because they seen what happened with Beckham. Can't wait to see the red tops tomorrow tbh. Bombadil 0
Let's face it, we didn't do enough to win today and we were never going to get past Brazil (presuming they beat France) in the semi-final without Rooney and Owen. And Eriksson is to blame for not taking more strikers. At least Jenas' inclusion in the squad was fully justified I'm gutted we're out, but I'm even more gutted that we had to lose against the fucking Portuguese. If there's one team I absolutely hate, it's them. I hope Brazil or France arse-rape them in the semi-final.

The Fish 11080
I know a lot of fingers are pointing at Lampard and Gerrard, but for me the blame lies squarely at the feet of one man. Sven Goran Eriksson. This isn't sour grapes, or "Fuck, quick we need a scapegoat" knee jerk, I really think that this group of players certainly have the talent and potential to have progressed beyond the teams we've faced. I'm not saying we'd have won the cup as I feel there were much sterner tests to come, but Paraguay, Trinidad and Tobago, Sweden, Equador and Portgual are all nations whom we should be able to beat without putting in the performance of our lives. The team has been lop sided, stuttering and unsure throughout the competition and I don't think it's right to point the finger at the players. Lampard has had one of his best season up until the world cup, same for gerrard, why is it that two of the worlds best in their positions were so god-awful when the time came? surely it's the tactics and formations employed by their manager. Why did we fail to produce in the second half of the matches, surely it's down to the manager? I know it's easy to blame the guy whose got two feet out the door, but I honestly believe that it's down to him that we failed so spectacularly. He's the English player I felt most sorry for for losing today - really didn't deserve it.

Lampard to make way for him.
Gemmill 47121
Special mention for Carragher btw. Brought on as a specialist penalty taker, and to be fair to him took a canny penalty........only he forgot to wait for the whistle. His second one was shite.
