They are believed to have pulled out of the deal because the consortium could not secure the services of a top class manager. Kid Dynamite 7185
Apparently the club is being bought for £16mil. About the same as we paid for one player last year. You gotta feel sorry for them!

Matty 0
It's all back on now, I guess Quinn could find room for his caravan at the car park in the end!
Matt 0
Will be interesting to see how much they have to spend. There's an awful lot of people in this consortium by the sounds of it. Not sure if that will means they individually won't be that involved so won't invest too heavily, or on the other hand there are so many that a few extra million is not that much when spread about. NJS 4411
Just spending £16m to buy out Murray is pointless. Another £40m to clear the debt puts them on a good championship level. Another £20m will ensure promotion and possibly establish them at a Pompey/Fulham level. £78 million and still way off the pace. I think thats their "best" case scenario - talk of actually challenging would require another huge sum and primarily a good manager which is doubtful - I don't think they'll get O'Neill now. Matt 0
Apparently this £40m debt is being shifted as part of the takeover.
