Jimbo 175
Roeder's appointment as a permanent successor to Graeme Souness at St James' Park means that there is a vacancy at the top of the Magpies academy and Byan Klug has been identified as the man to develop the next generation of Geordie youngsters. Klug, who holds a UEFA Pro Licence, has been a youth coach with the Blues since the late eighties, having been a reserve player at Portman Road prior to a loan spell at Wimbledon and full-time stints with Chesterfield and Peterborough. The 45-year-old from Grimsby has run the academy since its inception in June 1998, helping to bring through Kieron Dyer, Richard Wright, James Scowcroft, Titus Bramble, Darren Bent, Darren Ambrose, Owen Garvan, Shane Supple and many others. The Magilton-Klug partnership look more and more likely to be offered the chance to take control of the Blues with Colin Calderwood and Steve Tilson the latest targets to be ruled out. Klug's planned new role at Town would see him continue to run the academy while overseeing Magilton's early days in management. In 2001, Roeder took Paul Goddard from the Town academy to be his assistant during his spell as manager of West Ham. Klug has a great reputation of youth coaching, might be a good replacement for Roeder at the academy.

Jimbo 175
Looks like we won't be appointing him: Magilton tipped for Ipswich job Jim Magilton has been tipped to be unveiled as the new manager of Ipswich on Monday. Newspaper reports suggest that the 37-year-old will replace Joe Royle, who parted company with the club on 11 May. Ex-Ipswich captain Magilton made what had looked to be an emotional farewell to the fans in the final home game of the 2005-06 campaign against Derby. He now looks set to stay, with academy chief Brian Klug becoming director of football or first-team coach.
Dr Kenneth Noisewater 0
Klug is an essential part of the Magilton appointment as Magilton hasn't got his pro-licence.
Super7 0
A pro-license is not needed to manage in the Championship. It has been confirmed that Klug has been appointed Director of football at Ipswich. I am sure we can find a Geordie to put in charge of our academy instead.
