Scottish Mag 3
ALAN SHEARER takes his first big step towards becoming a top manager this week - in a secluded part of Scotland. The former England skipper and Newcastle legend is taking his UEFA A licence at Largs on the Ayrshire coast in a major boost for the SFA. Shearer will go through his paces under the watchful eye of Newcastle coach Tommy Craig, one of the course supervisors, and a reason behind the Geordie's choice. The FA run a similar course at Lilleshall but Shearer has opted for the rated Scottish coaching school where bosses including Sir Alex Ferguson and Jose Mourinho have graduated. An SFA insider said: "It's great to have someone of Alan's calibre. Largs has been the breeding ground for a generation of top Scottish managers and Jose Mourinho came here. "To have a top Englishman like Shearer is a coup."
Isegrim 9906
I wonder what Anal O. has to say about this as he made a stupid remark about the likes of Mourinho, Moyes etc. not getting their coaching qualifications in England...

Lazarus 0
Surely a former newcastle player and future newcastle manager being assessed by a current newcastle coach is a conflict of interest?
