Guest alex
Erm let me see How about.... A birthday BJ, which is far better than a normal day to day BJ (please disregard this suggestion if the 22 year old is your son! Beer. England shirt Choccies Designer shades Something gadgety. maybe for his PC/laptop/mobile? How about a digi TV reciever for the PC, theyre brilliant and not expensive. I think the one my son has on his pc was only about £35 from Amazon. 137399 Toonraider, you are suggesting that Magelaide: 1. has a 22 year old son (last time I looked she was a stoodent!) 2. wants to buy her 'stralian "blokely bloke" an England jersey 3. "blokey bloke" actually knows what a laptop/PC is? He's more likely to have a shed! 4. Buy beer when she comes from the land of the anti beer - west end! 137455 She comes from Adelaide doesn't she? Their beers (Coopers) were about the only decent ones I tasted in Oz, apart from ones from a few small breweries.

sammynb 3532
You've confused me, what do you mean by West End? Don't worry Alex, you'll only confuse yourself! Coopers is a South Australian beer but it is a boutique beer. Where as West End is the mass produced South Australian beer. They way it works is VB is Victoria's main produced beer (or where it comes from originally). Toohey's New is NSW's, XXXX is Queensland, Swan was West Australian and West End is SA's dishwater. Here look here: Everything you want to know about West End (but they forget to mention it tastes like shit!)

Give me a Chimay, Erdinger, Goulden Carolus, even a bottle of dog anyday.

About the best thing I found in Perth (not much competition to be fair ) was a Belgian Pub selling Duvel, Kwak, Chimay, Hoegardden etc. Eumundi is a small place in Queensland and I only saw the beer in a couple of places up there, a lass behind the bar suggested I give it a go and it's a cut above VB and all that type of piss. The only decent widespread beer was Cooper's Pale Ale and Sparkling Ale and both of them are lush. I had a really nice pint when I met Steve in a pub opposite Flinders St Station in Melbourne. That was a wheat beer done by some small brewery though. Fuck knows what it was called.

Guest alex
I love the way that's the only beer they sell in The Vineyard on Grey Street. Lush when it's ice cold but it's like rocket fuel!

Those Belgians know a thing or two. By the way, The Vineyard seems vaguely themed, I'm just not sure what on. Cuba perhaps? Also, why are the Xmas decorations up all year round?
