WubbleUC 0
They were running this story on SSN before, and after they'd said Milan had said they should be stripped of thier titles, they had this fan on standing outside the ground. When asked about the situation, he said.. 'They should be made to go to work, and dig the ground.'

Jimbo 174
Real vultures hover over Juve By Chris Cummings - Created on 31 May 2006 Reports in the Italian media claim that Real Madrid are ready to raid Juventus if the Turin club are relegated following the match fixing scandal currently engulfing the club. Should Juventus be relegated to Serie B, it is likely that they will lose many of their world class players, with Real one of a host of clubs monitoring the situation. Madrid's marketing consultant Ernesto Bronzetti confirmed his club's interest in several of the Juve stars highlighting Gianluca Zambrotta and Zlatan Ibrahimovic as Los Galacticos' main targets. "Zambrotta is one of the best wingers around and should he become available in the market then Real Madrid will do everything possible to sign him," Bronzetti told 'Gurin Sportivo'. "Ibrahimovic is a player that Real have liked for a long time. "We will be following the Juventus situation very closely, as many of their stars said they would leave should the club be relegated." Bronzetti also commented on Real's ongoing search for a new manager, and confirmed that as of yet, nothing has been decided. "Fabio Capello would also be very welcome here at Madrid, we have a very good list with some big names on it, including a place for the experienced Sven Goran Eriksson." Lazarus 0
The prosecutor has called for all four clubs to be thrown out of Serie A. khay 10
Since Juve would be stripped of their titles if AC to be relegated does that mean that Inter would actually get credited with the championship for last year and who was ever third place the year before(also Inter)? Emre 0
The prosecutor in the Italian match-fixing scandal has confirmed that they are looking for all four clubs involved - Juventus, Milan, Lazio and Fiorentina - to be relegated. Stefano Palazzi said that he would look for Milan, Lazio and Fiorentina to be demoted to Serie B - whilst Juventus, who are the most severely implicated in the proceedings, should be sent to Serie C at least. The situation is nothing new for either Milan and Lazio as, in 1980, they were both found guilty of match fixing and relegated, while Fiorentina are no strangers to lower league football having only recently returned to the top-flight following bankruptcy. However, with Juventus - they have never been out of Italy's top-flight and to be demoted when currently champions of Serie A would be a huge blow to them as it would also likely cost them their place in the UEFA Champions League, as is also the case for Milan and Fiorentina. Not making do with mere relegation, Palazzi also revealed that he would look for Lazio, Fiorentina and Milan to start with a deduction of 15 points - making immediate promotion very difficult - while he would also want Juventus to be penalised by six points. Both Juventus and Milan were quick to comment and, obviously, they were not pleased. "The requests of deductions for the different teams are absolutely not consistent," Juve lawyer Cesare Zaccone said. "It's difficult for me not to see this as absurd," complained Milan president Silvio Berlusconi. "Milan never had favours from referees. We have been victims of favours made to others club." The case also implicates 25 officials - it was 26 but FIGC (Italian Football Federation) member Cosimo Maria Ferri was cleared on Monday. On individuals, Palazzi stated that he wanted former Juventus general manager Luciano Moggi - the man who the whole scandal centres around - to get a five-year suspension, while he would also want the same penalty imposed on another former Juve director Antonio Giraudo, Fiorentina owner Diego Della Valle and Lazio president Claudio Lotito. Other high-profile bans could be imposed on Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani and also Andrea Della Valle of Fiorentina. Palazzi is also looking for big sentences to be levied against Milan's Leonardo Meani, former FIGC president Franco Carraro and former refereeing designators Pierluigi Pairetto and Paolo Bergamo. Italy's highest profile referee Massimo de Santis - who should have gone to the World Cup finals before being withdrawn, is facing a five-year ban for his role in the whole scandal, while fellow match official Gianluca Paparesta is facing a 12-month suspension. The case continues at Rome's Olympic Stadium and a decision is expected by next week latest from sky sports

khay 10
Italian duo reject trial evidence Lawyers representing Lazio and AC Milan in Italy's football corruption trial say the clubs have no case to answer. The pair, along with Fiorentina and Juventus, face relegation and fines if found guilty of sporting fraud. Juventus' lawyer Cesare Zaccone has already said his clients could settle for relegation and points deduction as "an acceptable punishment." "We at Lazio are innocent. We don't have anything to admit," said lawyer Gian Michele Gentile. The scandal broke in May with the publication of transcripts of telephone conversations between former Juventus general manager Luciano Moggi and Italian Football Association officials, discussing refereeing appointments in the 2004-05 season. A tribunal in Rome is investigating charges that the clubs, their management, football officials and referees tried to influence the outcome of matches by interfering with the appointment of referees. It is due to deliver its judgement on Monday, the day after Italy play in the World Cup final. Lawyer Marco De Luca, representing Milan vice-president lawyer for Adriano Galliani, the vice-president of six-times European champions Milan, also protested his clients had done nothing wrong. "Respect for the rules is in Milan's DNA," he said. The sports tribunal will not hand out penal sentences. A separate magistrates' investigation in Naples has yet to decide whether to press criminal charges against some of the individuals accused.
