Scottish Mag 3
James Milner's agent wants the player's future to be resolved as soon as possible. Aston Villa boss David O'Leary is desperate to sign the Newcastle player on a permanent basis after being impressed by his performances on loan this season. O'Leary confirmed last week that the two clubs had entered negotiations, but as yet nothing has been tied up. "Villa and James have worked well for each other and he has been delighted with the fact that he has been made to feel wanted," said Mick McGuire. "But Newcastle are a mega club and James is still their player. "We would not want this dragging on over the summer. It should be settled one way or the other as soon as possible." Milner expressed his joy at how things have gone at Villa this season, indicating that he would favour a stay in the Midlands. "There will be a lot of ifs and maybes along the way, but it's up to the clubs first - and then me. Things have to be sorted out at Newcastle and then my future will be sorted out afterwards," he explained. "But I have enjoyed my time at Villa. I like working with the coaches at Villa and the fact there are a lot of younger players in the first team. "It has been a big learning curve for me this season and I certainly don't think I made a bad move coming to Villa. "There is also the fact my fifth season in The Premiership will be coming up and I need to be playing games. I can't afford to be sat on the bench." Guest alex
Much as I tend to dislike agents, he's right, it should be sorted out ASAP.
snakehips 0
I wonder if the agent was chuckling when he described NUFC as a 'mega club'.

geordieshandy 0
Would love to have him back, in fact we need him back. Top (or close to) of the assists table, him on one side, Zog on the other.

geordieshandy 0
As with all of these ins/outs transfers, we'll have to wait until the new management team is decided, so they can make their decision on who they want who they don't. The chairman doesn't buy and sell players.
Gemmill 46086
We definitely shouldn't sell him. So in typical NUFC style we very probably will.
