The suppot band were the Young Soul Rebels, a bit !"Jam-esque", a motley crew from Brighton, they struggled at first with a few sound issues then came through canny, was impressed so bought there cd for the grand total of 2 dollar... Then came the BB slut.... I have to say they put on a great live show, the Academy kicked off big style and despite getting some serious swilling from the audience, water, lager, bottles, Preston never flickered and they were a hell of a lot better live than sitting in your pied a terre listening to their albums....
